Named to ISU Dean's List
The Idaho State University has included a local student for her outstanding academic achievement to their Spring Semester 2008 Dean's List. A recognition for which only those who have completed 12 or more credits at ISU and who have earned a grade point average of 3.66 or above. Vanessa Lee Sonnen of Greencreek is among the ISU community of scholars in the College of Health Professions with a 3.71 GPA. Vanessa is currently studying abroad at the University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. She is the daughter of Steve and Sue Sonnen, and Cindy and Nick Stevens. Co-Ed Softball Tournament set Syringa Hospital and Clinics will be hosting a co-ed softball tournament September 13th and 14th. Teams consist of 10 players with equal men and women. The double elimination tournament will be held in Grangeville and concessions will be available. Bring your family for a day of fun as the field is located near the park and city pool. Youth Swim Night at Kamiah This Friday, August 1, 2008; the Upper Clearwater Community Foundation (UCCF) will host the first Kamiah Pool Youth Swim Night. From 8 – 10:00 PM youth in 4th – 6th grade are all invited to enjoy food and fun. BBQ hamburgers anyone? Water basketball or football? How about a game of bumper tubes? The pool inner tubes will all be blown up and all the pool toys will be available. Cost is $1.00 per youth. Join us for a fun filled evening.
