Raspberry
Festival winners announced
On August 3 approximately 2,700 people, eclipsing last year’s attendance record of 2,200, enjoyed a beautiful, fun-filled day at the 16th Annual Raspberry Festival in Cottonwood, Idaho. Along with the quilt show, car show, cultural demonstrations, arts and crafts booths, live music, and plenty of food, a “Kids Carnival” was a new addition to this year’s festival. It proved to be a popular event for children of all ages and will continue to be a part of the festival in the future. This year’s festival was also the kick-off event for the 100th anniversary of the sisters of the Monastery of St. Gertrude being “at home” in Idaho. That celebration will continue through the coming year and will culminate at next years Raspberry Festival. Please watch for additional information on special events connected to this celebration throughout the coming year. Listed below are the winners of events that were a part of this year’s festival.
