High Football to start; Booster Golf Scramble set; Clearing up sports physical
forms confusion; Kamiah PT to sponsor fun run
The Prairie Junior High football program will get underway with their
first practice Wednesday, August 27 after school. . . .
The 5th annual Prairie Pirate Booster Golf Scramble will be held Saturday,
Sept. 20th at the Grangeville Country Club. . . .
There has been some confusion on the sports physical forms that the
students need in order to participate in sports. . . .
In conjunction with the city’s annual Barbecue Days, Kamiah Physical
Therapy will sponsor a 5K fun run, walk and roll on Saturday, August 30th.

season to start soon; Association meeting is Sunday; Cottonwood Bowlerettes
to meet Sept. 8
The 2008-2009 bowling season is just around the corner. Most leagues
in the Central Idaho USBC Bowling Association will begin the week following
Labor Day. . . .
The Central Idaho USBC Bowling Association will be holding their annual
fall meeting on Sunday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. at City Park in Craigmont

The Monday night women’s Cottonwood Bowling League “The Bowlerettes”
will be having their fall league meeting on Monday, Sept. 8 at 7:00 p.m.

The Robert Janss School at NICI held the monthly graduation
ceremony on Friday, August 8, 2008 giving 3 high school diplomas and 26
GED Certificates. The Director of Correction, Brent Reinke,
talked about the opening ceremony of the Olympics, the symbolism and traditions
that create success and the meaning attached to the Olympic rings.
He encouraged the graduates to live life as a relay - working hard and
passing the baton to the next person. Along with Director Reinke,
Wardens Lynn Guyer and Terema Carlin assisted Bill Farmer, the NICI School
Principal, in recognizing the accomplishments of those graduating.
