Mike & Tonya Kennedy
This four bedroom three and one half bath home was built in 2007 with rustic elegance in mind.  A 27’ rock fireplace is the focal point from the entryway and also the divider between the entry and great room.  A timber staircase ascends to the second floor, while a catwalk spans the back of the fireplace.  The second story walkways are open to the great room and entryway and are surrounded by a hand hewn log railing.  The spacious kitchen features a walk-in pantry, eating bar and large island; perfect for family gatherings and entertaining alike.  Hickory hardwood floors, pine logs, knotty pine tongue and groove and knotty alder provide natural warmth throughout the home.  The building project will continue with landscaping and outdoor finishing touches next year.  The home was designed by Mike and Tonya and constructed by Rusty Lorentz and Pat Enneking of Rusty’s Carpentry.
Rick & Deb Frei
This 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin style home sits on 80 acres with a beautiful view of the camas prairie, mountains and  Grangeville.  This home was built by Kevin VanGunten Construction with the help of Ryan Frei and Russell Frei. Some unique features in this home consists of a Salmon River rock fireplace with a marble tile inset for the stove built by Joe Travis of Riggins.  The log staircase along with a hand carved wood inset scene was done by Trickwood of Pollock.  The beautiful knotty alder cabinets were built by Jim Chmelick of Chesky Woodworking of Cottonwood.  The floors were by Bettie’s Floor & Décor.  Dave Dean of Riggins laid the ceramic tile.  The home is owned by Rick and Deb Frei and the landscaping was done by Rick himself.
Tim Wassmuth
This Ranch Style, custom built Universal Design home was completed in the Spring of 2008 (landscaping still in progress) by Holcomb General Contracting.  The Universal Design makes the home uniquely “livable” for ALL people, whether they require total accessibility or not.  Enter the home thru the 8-foot tall front door into the formal Foyer with its 12-foot high, double coffered, ceiling.  You will immediately find yourself surrounded with custom hand-built woodwork and a floor plan centered on openness, beauty and transparent accessibility.  You will find unique artistic features throughout the home such as the Mariner’s Compass Inlet in the deck, the slab granite imported from India in the kitchen, the engraved slate on the fireplace hearth, to the etched glass window in the master bathroom and marble inlet art piece in the barrier-free master shower.
The east side of the house is centered around the expansive views of the Clearwater Mountains, Three-mile Creek drainage and open pastureland by the liberal use of picture windows throughout and a large, raised deck, the length of the house.  Part of the rear deck is covered and has a built-in sound system, lighting, ceiling fan, propane piped directly to the barbeque & deck heater for comfort and convenience throughout most of the year…an ideal space to watch the sunrise in the morning or the deer and other wildlife in the evening hours.  The home is situated on 2.33 acres within the city limits and is centered around “Universal Design Details” that make it totally accessible.  Yet the 65+ Universal Design enhancements are transparent unless specific attention is drawn to them, making this a one of a kind home.  Tim is retired from “Corporate Life” and moved back to his hometown of Grangeville in 2006.
Steve & Misti Fogleman
This 3 bedroom 2 bath Ranch style home was built in 2005 by Fogleman Quality Construction.  This one story home has 9 ft. ceilings throughout with crown & base board molding.  The separate family room has pine vaulted ceilings with beautiful rock work.  The kitchen features knotty alder cabinets with large island - great for entertaining.  Home is located on 5 acres just outside of town in newer subdivision.  Landscaping includes lawn with sprinkler system and 17 trees all on watering system.  Property has large shop measuring 45' x 50' which includes full bath and utility/office space inside.  Misti designed this home with help from contractor & brother in law Jim Fogleman.  Misti is a receptionist for Bryan J. Petersen DDS and Steve is log yard supervisor for Bennett Forest Industries.
