Two
blood drive icons retire
For the past seventeen years Irma Tacke and Sally Terhaar have headed
the Cottonwood Blood Drives. They have recruited donors and other
volunteers; reminded the donors, help set up and tear down; made sandwiches;
poured juice and coffee; escorted donors to the waiting area; frosted maple
bars; hung up posters and the many other tasks that it takes to hold a
successful blood drive. Irma and Sally are passing the Blood Drive
torch to Brenda Kaschmitter and Cheri Holthaus from St. Mary’s Hospital.
The community would like to extend a very special thank you to Irma and
Sally for the many years of dedication and hard work that they put into
the Blood Drives.
