change at Library
Due to staffing issues and in consideration of heating costs the Prairie Community Library is changing it's Tuesday hours. The library will now open at Noon and close at 5:30. Thursday will still be 1:30 - 5:30 and Saturdays will be 10:00 - 1:00. Many of you have probably noticed the library doesn't always open on Saturdays. Remember this is a volunteer organization so there are times when no one is available to be there. If you would like to give a couple hours of your time, it is always welcome. The library will be closed for the holidays on Dec 25 & 27 and Jan 1 & 3. Effective January 1, 2009, there will be a rate change in membership fees. A single person household will still be $10.00. We have added a $15.00 level for households with only 2 people whether that is a single parent with one child or a couple with no children. Households with 3 or more people will still be $25.00. As we are not a tax based library this is our only income to keep the library open and functioning except for the occasional donations we get. Come and check out your local library, we have something for everyone. |
