Hospital
sponsores Decorated Door contest
The employees of St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics coordinated their first annual Christmas ‘Decorate a Door’ contest. The hallways throughout the hospital, Orr Building and Cottonwood Medical Clinic looked as festive as the snow covering the grounds. “Having gaily decorated doors added to the overall Christmas spirit in our facility. This is a hard time of the year to need medical attention so we decided it would lift the spirits of our patients if we went the extra mile to make our place look a bit more like home,” said Therese Hill, SMH Purchasing Department and contest coordinator. Over 45 doors were decorated which made it difficult for the judges to select the following contest winners. First place went to the Cottonwood PT clinic with their theme, ‘God’s Gift.’ Second place was awarded to the Housekeeping Department’s ‘Santa’s Workshop’ and third place went to the Cottonwood Clinic Room 2 with “Fireplace Santa.’ The Cottonwood clinic women’s restroom received an Honorable Mention with their ‘Log Cabin’ theme using cardboard toilet paper rolls to create a log cabin.
