Bill meeting set
Farm Service Agency will hold an informational meeting on programs initiated by the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008 (the latest Farm Bill) on January 29, 2009 at the Greencreek Community Hall. The meeting will begin at 8:30 am with staff from both Lewis and Idaho County FSA offices on hand to provide information and answer questions on 2009 programs including DCP (Direct and Counter-Cyclical Payment), ACRE (Average Crop Revenue Election), SURE (Supplemental Revenue Assistance), NAP (Non-Insured Assistance Program), Direct Attribution, CRP (Conservation Reserve Program), and any other issue you would like to address. Both the Lewis County FSA Office in Nezperce and the Idaho County FSA Office in Grangeville will be closed the morning of January 29th to allow staff to attend the meeting. Questions regarding the meeting should be directed to the Lewis County FSA Office at (208) 937-2291, ext 2 or the Idaho County FSA Office at (208) 983-1050, ext 2. The meeting will end by noon. All area farmers are encouraged to attend. |
