Ministry activities for April
As I am writing this letter, the snow is still falling. I know Spring is waiting patiently to show her lovely face and bring about the promise of new life and hope as the Easter season approaches. It is during this sacred time we invite our youth to celebrate the activities of our parish family through their involvement and presence. On April3rd all of the High School youth are invited to spend 1 hour in Adoration at St. Mary's from 10:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for spending some one-on-one time with Jesus in the classroom of sacred silence. On April 6th the Confirmation candidates are asked to meet at the JHPB at 7:30 p.m. Please bring your Holy Hero reports and be ready to present them. On April 8th at 7 :00 p.m. the Peer Ministers are asked to meet at Debbie's office to plan this months REACH session. RCIT will be at Debbie's office from 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Please bring your folders! On April 13th the "Theology of the Body" small group will meet from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Pizza will be provided at 6:00 p.m. On April 15th at 3:30 p.m. the Confirmation class will meet for a half day retreat at St. Gertrude's Monastery. Dinner will be provided and a reconciliation service will follow. On April 20th the group interested in going on the Tijuana mission trip in 2010 will meet in Debbie's office at 7:00 p.m. The focus of this meeting will be about summer fundraising. On April 22nd the REACH session hosted by the Peer Ministers will be held at the JHPB at 7:00 p.m. All Jr. High and High School youth are invited and encouraged to attend this evening of faith, fun, and fellowship. On April 23rd RCIT will be at Debbie’s office from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. On April 26th all H.S. youth who are in need of completing their Christian service hours need to meet at the Monastery parking lot at 1 :30 p.m. to help clean up after the Engaged Encounter. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated. On April 27th the small group Spiritual Direction session' for H.S. youth will meet in the Sacred Heart room at St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. We have a tentative gathering for QPR training for Peer ministers and other HS youth scheduled for April 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the JHPB. (QPR is training in the area of suicide prevention). I will let you know the exact details as things are finalized. On April 29th the Jr. High and H.S. youth are invited for a night of games, food, and fun at the Coffee Mill from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Bring your friends and join the fun! Yes there is hope.
