Kathleen Steinke and Kathee Tifft will be discussing the Oral History Project and the preservation of our area history. This is an exciting project and a good way for us to meet with those who have valuable information about the founding of our area. A Watercolor Class is being held on Saturday, April 25th, 9:30 AM-4:30 PM at Angie’s Crafts and Supplies. The instructor is Rick Weholt. Please call either Angie 962-7727 or Rick 983-3070 for more information. Fee for supplies is $20.00 and pre-registration is requested. Space is limited so give them a call today. Fundraising projects that were successful last summer will be happening again when the warmer weather stays with us. “Movies on the Wall” are being planned in the park. We hope to offer eight nights and are open to suggestions for movies. We are also in need for volunteers in order to make this happen. Please call Sr. Katie Cooper at 962-2002 if you can lend a hand and/or have some movie suggestions. The folks who attended last year’s “Movies on the Wall” really enjoyed them and said it would be fun to do it again this year. The 2nd Annual Dutch Oven Cook Off fundraiser is beginning to get organized and help is needed with this project also. This event will be held the same week as the County Fair and participating in it is both fun and exciting. Please give either Shelli Schumacher 962-5371 or Chinh Le 962-7082 a call letting them know you could help with this project. Being part of these special events by getting involved with your community activities is what makes them successful Again, our meeting time is this Friday, April 17th at 11:00 AM at the Country Haus. We hope to see you there! |
