County recycling survey available online
Recycling: Is it important to you?  The Idaho County Recycling Task Force wants to know what you think.  From now until June 15 at 5:00 p.m. Idaho county residents are encouraged to complete a quick on-line survey.  The link is www.idahocounty.org/survey.
The I.C. Recycling Task Force was convened by commissioner Rockwell in March 2009.  The committee, chaired by Charlie Fournier (with members Lloyd Kinser, Jeff Kuther, Janie Fluharty, Frank Sargent and Shelley Dumas), has been researching recycling programs in neighboring cities and counties as a collaborative effort to develop suggestions and alternatives for a viable, sustainable recycling plan for Idaho county.
Since December of 2008, when Walco closed its center, there have been no recycling services in the county.  The Task Force was organized in response to patron concerns.
The Task Force will be presenting its survey results and recommendations to the Idaho County Commissioners on June 23.
