awarded POST certificates
Recently, Sheriff Doug Giddings presented Idaho County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Brewster and Sgt. Zach Nichols with POST certificates. Sgt. Nichols received his Intermediate Certificate by meeting these requirements: Possess POST Basic Certificate; 6 years law enforcement experience; 1200 hours training. Deputy Brewster received his Advanced Certificate by meeting these requirements: Possess POST Basic Certificate; Possess POST Intermediate Certificate; 9 years law enforcement experience; 900 hours training; 45 College Credits Both men started their law enforcement careers with the Idaho County Jail then moved into patrol positions. They also enjoy working with local area youth organizations. Sheriff Giddings says, “I am proud to have these young men serving with the department, they are a fine example of today’s rural law enforcement officers.” |
