Hospital
web site gets lots of visits
The website for Clearwater Valley and St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics had 4,537 page views during the past month. Over 2200 people visited the site and went to an average of two pages with each visit. Most of the hits went to the home page, the next highest was their nursery.net featuring newborns at each facility. The vast majority of visitors were from the United States, but 21 countries or territories visited including people from India, Canada, the Philippines and United Kingdom. The highest volume of traffic was mid week with the weekends experiencing the fewest visits. Almost 50% of visitors typed in the hospital website address. 27% were referred to the site from other sites and the rest came from search engines such as Google and Yahoo. “We were surprised at the number of people who visit our site each month,” said Stephanie Deyo, CVHC/SMHC webmaster. “We try to make it interesting and user friendly. The newest feature is a slide show of our PT, medical clinics and hospitals. We list our services and the medical staff at both facilities. Anyone moving to the area can learn a bit about our providers before making their selection.” The website also hosts a link to MedlinePlus.gov, a reliable source for medical information. The temperature in both Cottonwood and Orofino are found at the bottom of the home page and a link to CVHC/SMHC Calendar of Events and a health provider directory are located at the top of the page. “Each week we upload informational stories about our facilities so people can keep current with our latest happenings,” said Deyo, who instituted the site about two years ago. “We had close to 5,000 page views and over 2600 visitors in March. More and more people rely on the web for their information so we feel it’s important to have an online presence.” The website for both facilities is www.smh-cvhc.org |
