Cottonwood
Chamber meets
The annual lighted Christmas Parade will be on Sunday, Dec. 20 this year. The date was set at the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce meeting last Thursday, June 11. The community Christmas tree was also discussed. Suggestions were to ask the BLM to provide it again and to look into finding a site that a tree could be planted. The annual BLM/Cottonwood Chamber river cleanup trip has been set for Saturday, July 25 with 22 positions available for the 5-6 hours trip from Hammer Creek to Pine Bar, first come-first served. Contact Joe O’Neill at the BLM, 962-3275, to sign up. Must be at least 18 years of age and the Chamber will provided lunch and soft drinks. No alcohol allowed. Cheri Holthaus has lots of “Discover North Central Idaho Communities” brochures available which include an official visitor map. Work is also continuing on a Cottonwood area specific brochure. There will be no Chamber meeting in July with the next meeting set for Thursday, August 13 at 11:30 a.m. at the Duman Mini-Mall meeting room. |
