parade set for Dec. 20
Once again the Chamber will be organizing the annual Lighted Christmas Parade; we encourage all businesses, organizations and individuals to put a float in the parade. This year’s parade will be held on Sunday, December 20th at 5:00 followed by a dinner; watch the Chronicle for more details on the dinner. The Chamber would like your feedback concerning having “Santa” visit at the dinner and hand out treats to the kids. Santa has made an appearance at the dinner for the last several years but the turn out of kids has been very low. Please contact Cheri Holthaus at 962-2327 if you have any feedback on “Santa’s” visit to the dinner. Santa will most definitely be part of the parade no matter if he attends the dinner or not. Scarecrow contest reminder The chamber wants to remind everyone of the scarecrow decorating contest; the winner will received $50 in Chamber bucks. Please decorate your business or home with scarecrows; the judging will take place the week of October 26th and winners will be announced in the Chronicle on November 4th. If you are off the main streets in Cottonwood and want to make sure your scarecrows are judged please contact Cheri Holthaus at 962-2327. |
