This year’s recipient of the Grangeville Garden Club’s
“Good Neighbor Award” is Helen Nuxoll of Cottonwood, whose yard you’ll
easily identify along North Street. No doubt, anyone who lays eyes on her
yards reaps benefits from the hours of labor she has devoted to her gardening.

Amber Frei is our first Hangout Student Citizen of
the Month. Amber, a senior, is the daughter of David and Kathy
Frei of Cottonwood. She is very dependable whether in class or in
activities, and she is always willing to help other students in class.
Amber has volunteered for a variety of groups or activities including HOSA,
cheerleading, PAVE or in the community and always with a smile and a positive
attitude and manner. Congratulations Amber!

Prairie Middle School 8th grade students traveled
to Grangeville on Thursday October 22 to record their selected PSA. The
student recordings send messages to classmates, parents and community about
saying NO to drugs. The announcements will be aired during the week of
October 26-October 30 during Red Ribbon Week. The winners will be
announced on the radio Thursday the 29th at 9:40. Tyler Hankerson,
Jacob Rowland, Dakota Wilson, Casey Danly and Gabe Angus are in this picture.
