Wrestling
club competes in two tournaments
The Cottonwood Wrestling club attended the USA Wrestling Tournament
on Saturday, October 31st at Kamiah High School, returning with 9 medals.
Those receiving medals were Caleb Butler, 2nd place; Evan Allen, 3rd place;
Kyle Schwartz, 1st place; Braden Nopens, 2nd place; Caleb McWilliams, 2nd
place; Cole Creutzberg, 3rd place; Kellie Heitman, 3rd place; Hunter McWilliams,
2nd place; and Tayler Heitman, 2nd place. Other Cottonwood Wrestling
Club members attending were Dallon Roberts, Mackenzie Key, Josie Remacle,
Jared Nopens, and Nathan Gimmeson.
Ten Cottonwood Wrestling Club members attended the USA Wrestling Tournament
at Potlatch on Saturday, November 7th. Out of 179 participants
five Cottonwood Wrestling Club members received medals-Caleb Butler, 2nd
place; Dallon Roberts, 3rd place; Kyle Schwartz, 2nd place; Cole Creutzberg,
1st place; and Hunter McWilliams, 3rd place. Other participants from
Cottonwood were Evan Allen, Braden Nopens, Jared Nopens, Caleb McWilliams,
and Nathan Gimmeson. The next tournament will be at Clearwater Valley
High School on Saturday, November 14th.
