service set for Saturday
St. Mary’s Hospital is sponsoring a Memorial Service this Saturday, November 21 at 1:30 p.m. the service is designed to honor and remember area individuals who have died this past year. The service is an annual event which will be held at the St. Gertrude’s Monastery Spirit Center. A Memorial Tree featuring names of the recently deceased will be used during the service. Afterwards, it will be placed in the entrance of the clinic until Christmas. “The service will remember and celebrate the lives of our family and friends who have died this past year. We’ll commemorate their lives and pray with those who miss them,” said Sr. Corinne Forsman, SMH Mission Services and Pastoral Care coordinator. “Often the holidays can be a difficult time for families. We want to provide an opportunity to remember loved ones. Anyone who would like to attend is more than welcome.” The Service will be coordinated by Mission Integration Committee, Pastoral Care personnel and volunteers.
