The next round of Idaho County Recycling will be Saturday Nov. 28 at the Fenn grain elevators (for patrons of the Salmon River area and Camas Prairie) and Sunday Nov. 29 at the south end of Kooskia City Park, serving the residents of Clearwater Valley. The hours for both sites will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Area recyclers are encouraged to support this new program with clean and sorted cans, plastics, cardboard and mixed paper. The Idaho County Recycling committee now has a “Bag-It” system available for purchase (bags and rack with a refundable deposit) for businesses and homes. The committee also urges community and neighbor transportation “pooling” to get recyclables to the collection sites. Volunteers are always needed to assist and monitor at the collection sites and to help with other behind-the-scenes tasks t ensure the continuing success of recycling in Idaho County.
