Summit Academy news
Traveling to New Meadows Friday and Saturday of last week proved a first for Summit Academy, as the Patriot boys duplicated the Patriot girls success two weeks earlier in winning the annual Meadows Valley Tip Off tourney. . . .

NaTosha Schaeffer, Amber Holthaus and Haleigh Schmidt of Prairie along with representatives of Grangeville display the check for $1217 that will go to the local food banks. Funds were generated at the “Idaho County Shootout” from sale of Spirit Chain links and from the number of fans for each school that showed up dressed in school colors. Grangeville wound up winning the spirit award.


Festive crews from NICI along with Sergeant Mary Strang were seen last Friday putting up Christmas lights at the Centennial Gardens; the lights are sponsored by the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce.   The Chamber would like to thank NICI for volunteering to help with this project, City Electric who donated parts and labor to get electricity to the Centennial Gardens and Avista for providing the power for the lights.   The Chamber would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and we hope to see you all at our Annual Lighted Christmas Parade on December 20th.

 The Idaho County Sheriff’s Dept. sponsored the Idaho County Shootout last Friday and the deputies also pitched in and helped out in the snack bar.
