Shailynn
Dreadfulwater is first baby of 2010
Idaho County Free Press Shailynn Elaine Dawn Dreadfulwater was born Jan. 2, 2010, 12:20 a.m. She is daughter and fourth child of Tim and Toni Dreadulwater of Stites. “She wasn’t due until Jan. 15, so I was surprised when the nurses said it looked like she’d be the New Year’s baby. I thought ’no way, just watch someone come in and have a baby right before us,’” laughed Toni. She discussed her daughter’s birth from her home where she had just returned Monday, Jan. 4. Shailynn weighed eight pounds, three ounces, and was 20-1/2 inches long. She joins big brother, David, 5, and sisters Taillor, 3, and Mackenzie, 1. Grandparents are Bekki and Buck Davis of Stites and Charley Dreadfulwater and Susan Dreadfulwater, both of Grangeville. Great-grandparents are Leroy and Yvonne Riddle of Kamiah and Joyce Dreadfulwater of Grangeville. Toni said her baby daughter had a bit of a rough start with a muscle in her stomach spasming and causing her to vomit. “She couldn’t keep anything down and we thought she might end up in [the hospital] Spokane,” Toni said. “But thank goodness everything worked out.” One of Shailynn’s middle names, Dawn, is a family name shared by her mom and sisters. She also shares something else special with her sisters: All three Dreadfulwater girls have January birthdays. “That is funny how that worked out,” Toni said. The Dreadfulwaters said they are glad for a great hospital and doctor. “Dr. Sigler is the best doctor anyone would ever have,” said Toni. “He’s been my doctor since I was born and now my kids’ doctor and I just think he’s the best!” |
