earn medals at Pomeroy Tournament
Brandon Poxleitner took first place in the 140 lb. weight class with 4 other Prairie wrestlers earning medals at the Pomeroy Christmas Tournament Wednesday, Dec. 30. Poxleitner defeated Dylan Holden of Kittitas, Wash., 10-2 in the championship match to take first. Earning a second place medal was Alex Duman in the 112 lb. class. He lost 0-8 to Carson Arnold of Kittitas in the championship match. Also placing second was Kade Perrin in the 125 lb. class. He lost to Juan Gomez of Pateros, Wash., by a score of 5-11 in the championship match. Earning a third place medal was Tyrell Langston at 160 lbs. He won the consolation championship by pinning Matt Lyon of Pullman in 1:53. Also earning a third place medal was Mitch Jungert in the 285 lb class. He won by pin in the consolation final over Jeff Warren of Pomeroy in 4:52. As a team Prairie too third place with 97 points. Kittitas took first with 224 and Pomeroy was second with 182. There were 11 schools entered with Prairie being the only school from Idaho.
