compete at Grangeville
The Prairie wrestling team competed in a league meet at Grangeville last Tuesday, Jan. 26. They competed again at Grangeville on Wednesday, Jan. 27, but we have no information on that meet. Alex Duman wrestled two different Potlatch wrestlers beating one 12-1 and pinning the other. Tayler Heitman wrestled the same two Potlatch wrestlers as Duman and was able to pin both of them. Kade Perrin won 14-4 over a Grangeville wrestler then lost to an Orofino wrestler 6-9. Damian McWilliams won twice by pin over a Kamiah wrestler and a Potlatch wrestler. Shawn Seubert won by pin over a C.V. wrestler then lost twice by pin to a Kamiah wrestler and to a different C.V. wrestler. Brandon Poxleitner won by pin over a Kamiah wrestler then lost by pin to Michael Skinner of Orofino. Nick Creutzberg lost 1-5 to a Grangeville wrestler then was pinned by a different Grangeville wrestler. Garrett Schmidt won in overtime 8-6 over a Kamiah wrestler then lost by pin to an Orofino wrestler. Joe Schumacher won by pin over a Kamiah wrestler then lost by pin to a Potlatch wrestler. Josh Wimer lost by pin to a Kamiah wrestler then won by pin over a C.V. wrestler. Finally Mitch Jungert won by pin over a Kamiah wrestler. Potlatch’s heavyweight didn’t want to wrestle him.
