Ten students qualified to participate in the annual
district spelling bee. Mr. Deiss seated students by drawing names
out of a hat. The first round was a trial run and all students were
given a word, asked to say it, spell it and then say the word once again.
The groups proceeded until Andy Gehring, left, was the final winner and
Heidi Holubetz was runner up. Andy moves on to the regional
bee in Lewiston at LCSC on March 6.
