Can
Cottonwood support an assisted living center?
What is our area looking for in an Assisted Living Center? What type of services are YOU interested in? Do we want our parents near us or more than an hour away when they can no longer live independently? How can we help plan for them now before a crisis happens? Most Idahoans will encounter the need for long term care, either for themselves or a loved one. Many people make long term care decisions when they are facing health crises. University of Idaho Extension and Prairie Horizons are offering a seminar that will help you plan for long-term care so you can sustain independence and protect your financial security. Learn about long term care at a free seminar on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the newly renovated Cottonwood Community Hall on King Street in Cottonwood. The seminar is scheduled from 6:30-9:00 PM. Seminar presenters will provide information on local resources that can help you live independently in your home, qualifications for Medicare payments for long term care, and a long term care project being researched by the Prairie Horizons Committee.
