NICI
holds graduation
Over 120 graduates, inmates, families, and staff attended a graduation ceremony to recognize the accomplishment of 19 students who completed a GED through Lewis-Clark State College at the Robert Janss School on February 4, 2010. Graduation speaker, Kelby Wilson, shared his experiences and personal insights as well as his congratulations. Wilson is the current ASB President at the University of Idaho and had just returned from a 3-week service tour in Indonesia. He talked about his successes and his failures, the need to be engaged, to work through hard times, and to make the most of both good and bad situations. He discussed the pride he has in his family and his father, Emmett Wilson, who officiated at the graduation. The Robert Janss School at the North Idaho Correctional Institution has more than 250 graduates each year. |
