I awoke to a sudden jolt that continued. I looked and said to Rodrigo…
“What’s going on?” He said, “An earthquake, come on!” And tugged me in
his direction to the door of the bedroom which he opened. He grabbed onto

Laura Karel is excepting a check from the Prairie
Booster Club President Chris Kaschmitter. The funds donated were to be
given to the Knowledge Bowl team who were at State this week.

Club to help pay for meal expenses for the Prairie High School Technology
team when they were at State last week.

Here are the results of Idaho County Farm Bureau Essay
contest winners. The upper photo shows Ellie Watson, left, Craigmont, Jim
Chmelik, middle, Farm Bureau Board of Directors, and Lucas Wemhoff, right,
Grangeville, holding their winning checks. Jim Chmelik presented the checks
to them, with Lucas receiving a first place and Ellie Watson, second. Both
are students at Summit Academy, with Mrs. Gina Lustig their teacher. Lucas
is the son of Roger and Annette Wemhoff, Ellie is the daughter of John
and Patty Watson. In the lower photo is Haley Enneking with Jim Chmelik
presenting her a check for her third place win. Haley, daughter of Dave
and Mary Enneking, Cottonwood, is a fifth grade student at Prairie Middle
School, Mrs. Jessica Vanderwall is her teacher. All three essays will be
sent to Pocatello Farm Bureau office to compete on the district level.
The winner of district goes to state competition.
