The Robert Janss School at North Idaho Correctional Institution (NICI) held a graduation ceremony on Thursday, April 8, to recognize seventeen individuals who recently earned their General Education Development (GED) certificates. Dawn Kennedy-Haeder, Correctional Education Association Teacher of the Year, spoke to a packed crowd at the event. Ms. Kennedy-Haeder read and spoke in reference to a fable from “The Holy Man” that reminded the graduates that it is their work and involvement that makes a difference in how they live their lives. |
