Ladies Night Out is Thursday
This Thursday, April 15, St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics is sponsoring the second Susan G. Komen for the Cure Ladies Night out at their Cottonwood Medical Clinic. The event will feature information and speakers on women’s fitness. The free goodie bags and raffle items will focus on fitness and fun. All women of all ages are welcome to the 5:30-7:30 function. Women will have an opportunity to talk with female health care providers and ask questions about their own health. They can also have a female wellness exam. The Komen grant will cover the cost for Idaho County residents who have not had an exam within the past year and are uninsured or underinsured. If a woman has insurance that covers the cost of the exam insurance will be billed. All payment methods are kept strictly confidential. Women wanting a wellness exam that evening should call the clinic, 962-3267, to schedule a time. Staff will also be available during the event to schedule mammograms. The Komen grant will also cover mammograms for eligible women. As part of their grant St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics is sponsoring their second Ladies Night Out function at their Cottonwood Medical Clinic on Thursday, April 15 from The focus of the evening’s event is women’s health care with an emphasis on being active. There will be informal speakers on activity for all ages and the free goody bags will include items to promote exercise and good health. The Ladies Night Out functions are made possible through the Boise affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. The grant award will provide free mammograms for 40 women and cover the cost of wellness exams for 100 women. The Foundation also awarded North Central District Health Department a grant to raise breast cancer awareness and to educate women in the area. |
