Letters
to the editor from this week's Chronicle:
To the Editor
I am writing this letter in support of Joan Hall for Idaho County Clerk.
I have known Joan Hall for many years; attending school with her while
we were growing up, and in the work force at the Idaho County courthouse
in Grangeville, 1985 through the present.
She has always shown professionalism in the working atmosphere, and
does her job thoroughly and correctly. She has hands on knowledge of the
inner workings of the Assessors office; how market value affects the creation
of tax bills that are generated in the Treasure/Tax Collector’s office
where she was the Chief Deputy under Clarice Schmidt. She then worked in
the Treasurer/Tax Collector office as a deputy treasurer, computing the
tax charge, generating the tax bills, helping in the collection of property
taxes, and balancing the accounts so the charges could be turned over the
Auditor’s office. She then took a position in the District court office,
where she works today; adding knowledge of the courts and its procedures
to her experience resume.
Joan communicates well with the taxpayers and has always been willing
to go the extra mile.
With her many years of public service and experience for the people
of Idaho County, I feel Joan Hall would be the best choice in the upcoming
primary for the Idaho County Clerk’s position.
