The Prairie Lady Pirates are making their 9th straight
trip to state after winning the District Championship over Genesee Saturday.

The Prairie baseball team took second at District
and advanced to State this week at Lewiston. Kneeling from left are Josh

The Pirates will open against Rimrock at 4:00 p.m. at Airport Park

The Mini-Village was one of the busier yard sale sites
in Cottonwood during the Community Yard Sale on Saturday, May 15.

The Cottonwood Foods crew in their "Paint the Town
Purple" shirts.
The hospital had a raffle drawing with proceeds to
benefit Relay for Life-American Cancer Society, and Cindy Schnider and
Teresa Bryant were in the Paint the Town Purple spirit.

"The Clowns" Relay for Life team with Tami Quick and
Carolyn Haning as co-captains had a huge yard sale, baked food sale and
BBQ on Saturday to raise money for Relay for Life.
The NICI Relay for Life team was selling biscuits
and gravy in the park in conjunction with the yard sales. The money
raised was for Relay for Life. From left are Jack Hoffman, Patrick Fortunato,
Emma Hoffman and Joyce Grant.

Marlene Jungert and Pat Trautman tried out the new
lift at the Library open house last week.
A family tries out the new lift to take them to the
lower level as library board member Laurine Nightingale prepares to close
the door.
There was musical entertainment at the Library open
house provided by Summit Academy students.

Medal winners at the Lapwai Twin River League Invitational
track meet on May 4th. Left to right-Justin Ross 2nd place
in the 1600 m run, Austin Sonnen 2nd place in the 400 m, Drew Cochran 2nd
place in the triple jump, Leah Holthaus 2nd place in the triple jump, and
Brandi Gehring 2nd place in the high jump and the 75m hurdles.

the VIEW (Vandal Innovation and Enterprise Works) Business Plan Competition
on May 1st. project was the feasibility study on an elderly assisted living
center in Cottonwood. The team worked in conjunction with the Horizon's
Group.
