The $270,000 override levy for School District #242 passed with a 60% yes vote in last Tuesday’s election. Vote count was 319 yes, 213 no and 1 invalid vote out of 533 votes cast. Breakdown by trustee zone is as follows: Zone #1, Greencreek-56 yes, 22 no in voting at Greencreek and 33 yes, 23 no in voting at Cottonwood for totals of 89 yes, 45 no. Zone #2, Cottonwood-68 yes, 40 no. Zone #3, Cottonwood-43 yes, 27 no. Zone #4, Keuterville, 45 yes, 31 no in voting at Keuterville and 25 yes, 9 no in voting at Cottonwood for totals of 70 yes, 40 no. Zone #5, Ferdinand-29 yes, 31 no in voting at Ferdinand, 20 yes, 30 no in voting at Cottonwood for totals of 49 yes, 61 no. |
