Academy awards
Omitted from last week’s graduation coverage were the awards presented to Summit Academy graduates during the ceremonies. Virtue awards were presented with the Congeniality award going to Margaret Yalbuw. Dylan Prigge received the Patriot Award and Josh Frei received the Excelsior Award. Boys White Pine League basketball certificates went to Prigge and Frei. Prigge was 5th on defense and assists, 2nd in steals, 7th in field goals and 1st in both rebounding and scoring. Frei was in the top 10 in scoring and was 6th in steals. Activities medals went to Frei for 4 years of Knowledge Bowl, 4 years of basketball and for Drama. Prigge received medals for 3 years of Knowledge Bowl, 4 years of basketball and for drama. Yalbuw received medals for 3 years of Knowledge Bowl, for Drama and for Volleyball. Tara Stubbers received medals for 3 years of Knowledge Bowl, 4 years of volleyball, 4 years of basketball and for drama. Jennifer Wemhoff received medals for 3 years of Knowledge Bowl, 3 years of basketball, for volleyball and for drama. Wemhoff and Frei also received recognition as the first students to complete all 13 years, K-12, at Summit Academy. |
