GED's
earned at NICI
This is the season for graduations throughout the country. The Robert Janss School at NICI graduates between 20 to 30 students each month who complete their GEDs from Lewis-Clark State College. Last month 22 students graduated, and this month 26 students graduated and attended ceremonies at NICI. Chuck Kreautler and Kevin Rehder were the commencement speakers. Chuck talked about overcoming challenges and taking risks to succeed. He returned to his old coaching days as he led a crowded room in football cheers at the end of his speech. Kevin Rehder talked about the importance of family and community values, the pursuit of excellence, and, of course, the need for frugal money management. At the end of the ceremony, Bill Farmer recognized the excellent work that Phil Foster and Chuck Kreautler have contributed to the Robert Janss School program at NICI as they leave their jobs in June because of state budget cuts. |
