Volunteers
are sought
Donna Quick, Volunteer Coordinator, St. Mary’s Hospital, is looking for a few volunteers to help on various projects in the facility. The days and hours are flexible and those interested will receive training. “Having volunteers within the hospital and clinic really help supplement the work our staff does,” said Quick. “There are a few ongoing projects that are perfect for a few willing volunteers.” Current needs include volunteers to help in the purchasing department with labeling, stocking and filing or filling the vending machines in the cafeteria. Quick also needs one or more volunteers willing to pass out magazines or read to inpatients and maintain the hospital’s gift cabinet. She will train volunteers in their responsibilities and each will be asked to sign a confidentiality statement. “We’ve developed a job description for each volunteer position. I can certainly go into greater detail with anyone who might be interested in learning more about the various positions,” said Quick. “We certainly appreciate the volunteers we have now, but could use a few more.” For more information call Donna Quick at SMH, 962-3251. |
