class of 1960 holds reunion
The reunion of the 1960 graduating class of St. Gertrude’s Academy was held at Ernie's Steakhouse in Grangeville, September 10th. All were saddened to learn of the recent destructive fire there. Names of those pictured are: Phil Hasenoehrl, Marv Forsmann, JennyKaye (Seubert) Kent, Chuck Uhlenkott, Linda (Hoene) Terhaar, Carol (Remmie) Fox, Gerry Frei, Virginia (Schmidt) Crea, Wayne Busch, Frank Gehring, Judy Reed, Clarice (Kachelmier) Riggs, Marti (Uptmor) Abrahamson, Janet (Wagner) Sonnichsen, JoAnn (Willenborg) McHugh, Bill Brady, Shirley (Burkey) Slade, Phil Wimer, Bonnie (Duman) Gehring, Mike Howson, Valerie (Haener) Westover, and Tom Davis. A continuation of the reunion was a luncheon hosted by the Benedictine Sisters at the Monastery of St. Gertrude, Sept 11. A photo of those attending the latter was recently submitted by Sr. Angela. Some also enjoyed another gathering at Mariel’s B & B later that day. *A no-host social hour was followed by picture taking, dinner and much conversation. The deceased members were pictured and eulogized. Deceased classmates are: Norman Felgenhauer, Fr. Charlie Foltz, Pete Gussenhoven, Judy Hilbert, Jim Hoene, Dave Krimm, Dennis Lightfield, Sheila Payne, Bernadine Schmidt, Adrian Stach, and Sr. Judith Uhlenkott OSB. Classmates unable to attend were: Barbara (Garten) Goeckner, Dorothy (Geis) Nuxoll, Ken Goeckner, Ernie Koch, Marybelle (Schnider) Neary, Sharon (Seubert) Anderson, Richard Vassar, and BonnieJo (Wren) Lane. Still wanting information on the following: Suzanne (Cooney) Lopez-Wells, Russ Dean, and Dolores Nieffenegger.
