The scarecrow display at Cottonwood Credit Union, above, was awarded first place in the Chamber of Commerce contest.  Click on the photo for a larger view.

The Arnzen Drug scarecrow took second place in the competition.

Shown is the tornado that touched down near Ferdinand Thursday, Oct. 14. Devin Schmidt took the photo on his cellphone while on the way to that night’s football game. He and Beau Schlader spotted the funnel cloud and played stormchaser for a bit. When it touched down and became a full-fledged tornado they decided it was time to get out of there.

Dr. Jill Lane, Optometrist, Owner of Camas Prairie Eye Clinic in Grangeville, will begin seeing patients on Wednesdays at the SMH Cottonwood Clinic beginning November 10th.  She is pictured with Loni Cox, Optician, on the left and Sheri Northrup, technician, on the right. See story above left.
