Salmon River history with Cort Conley
Come take a historical trip down the Salmon River with someone who knows the “River of No Return” as both a published historian and river guide. Cort Conley is a writer and naturalist who has spent his life documenting and trying to preserve the wild rivers and backcountry of Idaho. He is the author or co-author of several books on Idaho including “Idaho Loners: Hermits, Solitaires and Individualists”, “Snake River of Hells Canyon”, “River of No Return” and “Idaho for the Curious”. He holds a jurisprudence degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Conley returns as a speaker at the final lecture of the 11th Annual Fall Lecture Series on Thursday, October 28. He will present a talk along with slides and rare films of the Salmon River. This free lecture is from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Spirit Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude.
