Junior High wrestlers earn medals at Potlatch
Hunter McWilliams took first place in the 106 lb. weight class at the Junior High Wrestling Tournament at Potlatch Saturday, Feb. 5 while Kellie Heitman took third in the 100 lb. class. Kellie Heitman, 100 lbs., pinned Jody Dykes of Sacajawea, pinned Brandon Miller of Potlatch, lost to Robert Huen of Kamiah 8-9, lost by pin to Tyler Schwartz of Orofino and pinned Trae Dominguez of C.V. to finish in 3rd place. Hunter McWilliams, 106 lbs., pinned Jeff Berger of Sacajawea, pinned Terry McDonald of Grangeville, pinned Clint Ponozzo of Sacajawea, pinned Isaac James of C.V. and pinned Kyle Cutting of Moscow to finish in 1st place. Dally Ratcliff lost to Zack Wilkens of Kamiah 5-9, pinned Preston Hogaboam of Potlatch. pinned Amir Rezmond of Moscow, lost by pin to Drake Randall of Sacajawea and lost to Pedro Hernandez of Moscow 10-12 in overtime. The team placed 6th out of 8 schools: 1st Sac, 2nd Mos., 3rd Kam., 4th Pot., 5th C.V., 6th Prairie, 7th Grangeville and 8th Orofino. Prairie junior high wrestlers at the Potlatch Tournament.
