graders 1st at CV Tournament
The Prairie 8th grade AAU team took first at the CV Tournament this past weekend. Photo provided by Scott and Tara Ross. 2 shoot perfect 25's in final week Cottonwood Gun Club finished up the season with sunny skies and high winds. Only two of our 41 shooters earned perfect scores, Derek Schaeffer 25/20 and Rod Sheets 25/21. Following up with Andy Harman 24/21. Lowell Mader earned a 25 on his handicap score 23/25. Top Junior shooter of the day was Jake Rowland 22/24. Awards ceremony will be held at the annual banquet on March 26th. Youth Sports signup days set Cottonwood Youth Sports (CYS) invites a parent/guardian to sign-up their children for the summer baseball/softball programs. Sign-ups will be at the Prairie Elementary School cafeteria from 5:30-6:30 on Sunday March 20, 2011 or Wednesday March 23, 2011. Cost per child has remained the same as last year at $15 for T-ball, $20 for Rookie League, $30 for Girls Junior and Senior Softball and for Little League, and $40 for Babe Ruth. First-time Babe Ruth and Girls Senior Softball players need a COPY of their Birth Certificate. The sign-up form has a section where you can volunteer your special talents for: Coaching, Assistant Coaching, umpire, field work, team phone-calling, or CYS Board of Directors. Your assigned date for mandatory concession duty can be waived for a fee of $10 per child. You are welcome to bring any used equipment to donate, trade or sell.
