Prairie Community Library has set the date for 2011 Bräts and Brew Fest on October 15, 2011. Please mark that date on your calendar and plan to attend and have a great time. This year promises to be even bigger and better than last year. The library is doing a promotion during the month of April to celebrate our 26th birthday. Local businesses may participate by inviting customers to save $250.00 in receipts from a variety of businesses. Bring the receipts to the library and receive a complimentary membership for one year. It can be new or renewal. It is the library's way of giving back to all the businesses that have supported us in the past years. Ladd Arnoti's art work will be displayed on the wall of the library until the end of March. Come in and have a look-see. It is so nice of Ladd to share his talent with us. We have new western books now in the library. Also new additions in the "New Arrival" section. Check it out! The computer class was cancelled this week due to conflicting activities. It will be on schedule again this Thursday, March 24th. Come and find out what you don't know about computers. Joan Kopczynski's book, " Lies, Spies, and Psychosis" and Ladd Arnoti's "Darkness of War, Dawn of Hope" are for sale at the library. Some of the proceeds go to the library so pick up a copy and show your support. Joan will be here for a book signing on April 16th. We welcome our local authors and have a section set aside for them on the shelves. |
