Mike Karel, third from right, had his Eagle board
of review for Boy Scouts. Before scheduling the board of review Mike had
to have 12 required Merit Badges and 9 electives for a total of 21. His
Eagle project was a Marimba that is currently being used at Prairie Elementary
School. The Marimba was played for the first time at the PES Spring Concert.
Karel along with his fellow Boy Scouts were recognized for their hard work
in this project before the concert. On March 23, Karel went before a panel
of adult scout members. He was asked a variety of questions based upon
his experience as a Boy Scout, his family, and what his future plans were
after High School. There will be an Eagle Ceremony and the public is invited
to attend once a date and time have been set. Shown from left are Don Owen,
Kevin Asker, Laurie Karel, Mike Karel, Dan Karel and Joel Brown. Photo
