Library News
New summer hours at the Prairie Community Library are 10:00am to 5:30pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Saturday hours remain the same, 10:00am to 1:00pm.
The library has recently acquired two books by Karen Kingsbury titled "Unlocked" and "Take Two."  There were more titles by this author in the library previously.  Karen Kingsbury has written 56 books, each one more interesting than the last.  She is an excellent writer and calls her books "Life-Changing Fiction."  Her books are filled with the remarkable, miraculous fact that God's grace is greater than our life trials.  She takes ordinary people in the situation of their lives and shows us how things can go better with God's help, all while writing an interesting story.  The reader can identify with many of the situations in the stories.  Check out these and more at the library this week.
Please continue to bring in empty printer cartridges.  We can turn them in and use the coupons to buy office supplies.  It is great way to make a donation to the library.  Another way to make a donation is to send a memorial to the library when a loved one passes away.  What better tribute to their lives than to make books available to the community?
The Summer Reading Program begins this Thursday, June 16 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at the library.  It will continue every Thursday until July 28th.  The theme for this year is "One World, Many Stories."  All children are invited.
