signup deadline set
The Idaho County Fair Royalty committee is seeking young ladies ages 14 to 18 interested in participating in the 2012 royalty program. Girls must be going into their sophomore through senior years of high school and be available through the completion of the fair. Deadline for applicants is June 30th. The competition includes a contestant picnic sponsored by the 2011 royalty set for July 14 (due to scheduling conflicts this date was changed from the original date of July 21), a catered luncheon set for August 3, and participation in the fashion show on August 17 and the crowning on August 19; all contestants are required to attend each one of these events. The event is open to all young ladies age 14 to 18 in Idaho County or those who participate in Idaho County 4-H – however it is not just for those involved in 4-H; it is a county scholarship program for young ladies who are active in their communities. However, starting in 2013, all candidates will have to have 2 years of experience with the fair either through 4-H or through entries in open class. Royalty applications can be picked up at the Idaho County Extension office located in the Idaho County Court House or by calling Idaho County Fair Royalty advisors; Cheri Holthaus at 962-5433 or Collette Schaeffer at 816-1872. Applications can be dropped off at the Extension office or mailed to Cheri Holthaus; PO Box 423; Cottonwood Idaho 83522. All applications are due by June 30th. |
