Nez Perce National Forest Supervisor Rick Brazell is proposing to log 4.4 square miles and construct 13 miles of new road in the Little Slate Creek area.  Over 45% of the logging will be clearcut.
The Little Slate Creek area is a popular destination for those who camp, fish, hike and watch wildlife.
The draft EIS is open for public comment until September 6.  The DEIS is available at the Nez Perce NF website at the following link:
