County Royalty float is best in show
The 2011 Idaho County Fair Parade was a success; there were many entries varying from royalty to miniature horses to 4-H groups. The Fair Board would like to thank everyone who entered the parade and also everyone who helped to make it a success; Collette Schaeffer, Sue Guyer and Sherry Holthaus for helping with the sign in; Ed Holthaus and Lynn Guyer for helping with the line-up, Pat Holthaus for announcing and who also helped with the line-up, the Lion’s Club for the use of their sound system, Hoene Hardware for letting us hook up the sound system in front of their store, Bud’s Saw Service for loaning out two of their Rangers for the Fair Board to ride in and a special thanks to Shelia Deweese for driving the Grand Marshals in her Mustang convertible. We would also like to thank the Hang Out for allowing the parade to use their parking lot for the lineup and for providing such a wonderful meal for the visiting royalty. And we can’t forget to thank the judges-who will remain anonymous. The winners of the parade are as follows: Commercial: 1st-Wells Fargo Bank; 2nd-Arnzen Drug; 3rd-Cottonwood Credit Union Non-Profit: 1st-Indoor/Outdoor 4-H Club; 2nd-Camas Livestock; 3rd-St. Mary’s Hospital Royalty: 1st-Lewis County; 2nd-Idaho County; 3rd-Cottonwood Riding Club Equestrian: 1st-Keuterville Kids; 2nd-Mini Whinnies; 3rd-Sky Wilson Best of Show: Lewis County Royalty 
The VFW and American Legion Color Guard leads the Idaho County Fair Parade. 
The Lewis County Fair Royalty float was named Best in Show at the Idaho County Fair Parade. 
The Indoor-Outdoor 4-H Club with their magician making the rabbit pop up out of the hat was the top winner in non-commercial entries in the parade. 
The “Keuterville Kids” were the top equestrian entry in the parade. 
Wells Fargo Bank had the top commercial entry in the parade. |
