Two members of Cottonwood Girl Scout Troop 3785, Ciara Chaffee and Leann Lightfield, attended a Mom & Me weekend at Camp Wooten outside of Pomeroy, Wash. in the Blue Mountains. Their cabin mates were Girl Scouts from Troop 3544 in Richland, Wash. The Cottonwood girls had a fun weekend and plan to keep in touch with these new friends as pen pals. The two night campout was attended by about 120 girls and adults. Activities during the weekend included craft projects, hiking, swimming and geocaching. The girls also helped with a service project that made hats that would be donated to an organization in the Tri-Cities. Saturday night there was lots of fun at the bonfire with songs, skits and s’mores. The weather for the weekend was great and everyone had a fun time. in the photo: back from left are Shari Chaffee, Heather Lightfield and Tammy Kempton.
