The Prairie Junior High 8th graders produced Public Service Announcements for their involvement in Red Ribbon Week – Oct. 24th through the 28th.   Six groups were chosen to go to KORT radio station last Wednesday and record their Drug  Free messages.  They will air throughout  the day starting Monday Oct 24th.  On Thursday at 9:40 the station will announce the winner of the skits.  All the students did an excellent job. The students saw first hand how to produce and record.   They were also given the opportunity to be broadcasters.  This was a great experience.

The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from Pack 638 and the Girl Scouts from Troop 3785 from Cottonwood went to the Keuterville Fall Festival on Saturday.  We went on a long hayride around Keuterville twice.  We did a flag ceremony in front of the pumpkin patch.  Then they opened the gate and everyone raced to pick pumpkins.  There were wagons there to help us carry the pumpkins.  There were games inside the community hall and you could win prizes.  There was a really big mule that you could ride and get your picture taken.  There were 2 mini mules there also.  We all had fun and you can go there this weekend. There will be a kids parade and a plane fly over dropping candy.  Photo by Aleta Coppernoll.Click on the photo for a larger view.
