It was an unseasonably nice way to start the Annual Camas Prairie Trapshooting Association's 10 week shoot, with sunny skies and no wind to speak of. Overall, there were 42 members shooting with several new faces, including 7 new shooters. Leading the way in AA class were Andy Uhlorn, Lowell Mader, Pepper Harman, Ralph Terhaar and Gordon Harman all with 24. Top scores in A class were shot by Brandon Poxleitner and Jake Rowland hitting 24 and Darrell Uhlorn, Ryan Mader and Jesse Bruegeman scoring 23. Jake Rowland was also the top Junior score for the week. Butch and Jean Spencer each had 23 in B class with Kyle Bruegeman scoring 22. C Class was lead with Kevin Kaschmitter’s 22, followed closely by Frank Spencer's 21 and Jacob Forsmann's 20. New Shooter J.R. McAfee took the lead in D class, firing a 22, with Kami Sickels, Dylon Bruegeman, Stacey Harman and Kevin Schmidt all notching 18. Long Handicap leaders are Jim Ewing and Andy Uhlorn, both hitting 19 from long range, while Andy Harman, Pepper Harman, Shane Poxleitner, Derrick Schafer and Jake Rowland all shooting 23 to lead the way in Short Range Handicap. In the overall team standings Cottonwood sits in twelfth place in the 16 team league, with team from Garfield, Nezperce, and Culdesac leading the way. There is lots of good weather coming up in the forecast, so come on out and have some fun with us next Sunday.
