Ministry March schedule
With the hope of spring on the horizon, we stand in anticipation of all the blessings of a new season. Our hearts long to embrace the change that lies ahead, thus inviting us forward with new hope and vigor. It is here during the month of March that our young people are encouraged to experience this invitation of newness and know the joy that a community gathered in the name of Christ can bring. On March 7th the youth are invited to the OMG at 5:45 for a nacho dinner. Following the dinner we will attend a workshop presented by Sister Lillian, “The word of God, the life of the Church”. The workshop will take place at the new religious education center at 7:00 p.m. All Jr. High and High School are invited to attend. On Friday, March 9th the ICYC group will leave for Boise to attend ICYC. We will return on Sunday March 11th. Please hold us in your prayers as we travel and experience the young Idaho Church gathered together in Christ’s name. On March 13th the 2012 Tijuana Mission team will meet @ the OMG room @ 7:00 p.m. to finalize plans for the trip in June. Please bring your Capstone applications. On March 14th our small group sessions will be held @ the OMG @ 7:00 p.m. Please note we will be offering a Bible study and Social Justice session. These sessions are specifically for High School youth who desire to grow in knowledge in these given areas. There will be a youth Mass and Seder meal @ Assumption parish @5:00 p.m. on March 17th. Please join the 6th graders as they host this special Eucharistic celebration. On March 18th the Confirmation youth will be hosting an “ice cream” social at the new religious education building @ 7:00 p.m. for the community; parents and sponsors are especially encouraged to attend. I will be at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress from March 21st –March 26th. Please hold me in your prayers as I gather with 40,000 other Catholics to learn about our Church and Catholic faith. On March 24th the Confirmation youth will be attending a retreat in Moscow at St. Augustine’s from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please note, we are in need of more adult drivers, please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested in driving. (Details for the trip will be handed out to the youth at the ice-cream social on March 18th). On March 28th we will have a social for the Jr. high and High School youth. We will have more information on it at a later date, so watch your bulletins. On March 30th the youth will be participating in the Stations for the Cross @ St.Mary’s @ 6:00 p.m. St. Mark’s guild will be hosting the soup supper. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this special journey with Christ and the community. Yes, the invitation to participation is evident as we gather to praise, worship, share, work, eat, learn, laugh and pray.
